Elder Announcement: NPC, Family, We have been closely monitoring the situation around covid-19, and our goal is to ensure the safety of our church family and to meet together soon. We recognize that this continues to be a fluid situation and we are committed to following the advice of our governor and medical advisors. With that said, we have begun to create a plan of reentry for our church family. Here is our initial plan:
Phase 1: • Starting on May 31st, we will have the Potlickers and the Moody/Freeman life groups meet at the building to watch the streaming worship service at 10 a.m. on Sundays (This is of course only for those that feel comfortable with coming to the building) • Also, on May 31st, we are encouraging life groups to begin to meet together. Again, we support each life group’s decision on what is the best way for their group to connect with one another. • Here are a few possible options: The groups may want to watch the Sunday service together, meet in an area that is conducive for social distancing on Sunday nights (park, church parking lot, etc.), or find other creative opportunities to meet together. • Our elders are in conversation with some of our NPC members who are in the medical field to create a plan that will allow us to have a safe environment for events and services that happen at the church building. Phase 2: • We will consider meeting together for large group services in July (This will be contingent on the governor’s recommendations) • This will likely require multiple services and certain sanitary precautions to be implemented so that we can provide a safe environment for those who attend. (More details will come as we get closely to this phase)
Phase 3: • In August, we will consider having classes on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights (This is contingent upon governor’s recommendations)
We appreciate everyone’s prayers and patience as we journey through this strange time. We love each of you, and we encourage you to be intentional about pouring into each others lives.!
